At No. 1 doubles, Mara Hillyer and Caroline Eckrich lost 7-5, 6-1 to Berrien Springs’ Breanne Rudlaff and Brenna Wineland in their first match, and Ellene Bricolas and Rita Sidhu dropped a 6-1, 6-2 match to Grosse Ile’s Karolina Kvasnitova and Elli Formentin in their first match at No. 2 doubles.

Rayna Patel and Gabby Cavataio lost a tough three-set match, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4 to Kalamazoo Christian’s Ellie DeKoekkoek and Aleshis Wolthuis in their opening match at No. 3 doubles.

The Knights’ No. 4 doubles team of Renata Szymanski and Grace Drettman also won a match, beating Grandville Calvin Christian’s Lili Estrella and Elsa Bouwkamp 6-1, 6-7, 6-2, but dropped out with a 6-4, 6-2 loss to Monroe St. Mary Catholic Central’s Katie Goda and Hailey Carl in the next round.

The Knights should be improved next season with this experience in their back pocket.
