20th anniversary celebrated

Some 20 years after founding The Holley Institute, it was time to celebrate.

Chairman of the board, Daniel Megler M.D., and his wife, Branka Megler M.D. attended the event hosted by Drs. William and Virginia Rice, who are among the founders of the institute.

Other board officers in attendance were board treasurer Sean Gardella, his wife, Ann; secretary Sally Cytacki, her husband,Walter Cytacki Jr. and their son, Michael. Other directors who attended were Mark Weber and wife, Judy; Judy Christian and husband, Edward; Richard Caste and wife, Carolyn; Tim Grajewski and wife, Susan; past chairman John Scherer and his wife, Melodie; the Rev. Michael Depcik; and St. John Hospital and Medical Center president David Brooks and his wife, Laura.

Ardis Gardella, an institute founder, attended, along with members of Delta Zeta whose mission includes supporting the deaf and hard of hearing community.

Following a short presentation of the organization’s history, Gardella introduced three new staff members, Jeremy Vinluan, Christian Young and Heather Johnson.

The Holley Institute’s mission is “creating new worlds for children and adults with deafness, hearing and vision loss.”
