The Mothers’ Club of Grosse Pointe South invites community members to share a little holiday cheer with family and friends at its “Let It Go Luncheon,” at 12 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 12, at the Grosse Pointe War Memorial.“This time of year can get so crazy, we just wanted to host an event where people can relax and enjoy the true joys of the season with those closest to them,” Laura Huebner said in a press release. Huebner is co-chairing the event alongside Susie L’Heureux.The event features lunch, entertainment, gift items and a bow-making workshop. Gifts include floral arrangements from Grosse Pointe Florist and handmade ornaments. There’s also a raffle, which includes prizes such as holiday decorating, a personal shopper and professional gift-wrapping.Proceeds from the event benefit the Mothers’ Club program and initiatives from college scholarships to classroom enrichment to preservation of South’s historic building and architecture.Community partnership sponsors are: St. John Health System, Beaumont Spirit of Women, Ferrara Skin and Laser Center, Dr. and Mrs. Barbish and UBS.
