Smith signs with Citadel

Jacob “Jake” Smith, formerly of Grosse Pointe Park, has been named to the South Carolina High School All-Star Football Team.

He is a 6-foot, 6-inch, 225-pound defensive end for Greenville High School in South Carolina.

He has verbally committed to attend The Citadel on a football scholarship in 2013.

His grandparents, Tom and Kathie Smith, are long-time residents of Grosse Pointe Farms.
