David T. Brooks has been named as president of St. John Hospital and Medical Center and senior vice president of St. John Providence Health System. He steps into his new roles in February.Brooks comes to St. John Providence from Everett, Wash., where he served in executive roles in the Northwest Washington Region of Providence Health Services, currently as chief executive officer and previously at chief operating officer. His previous roles include: senior vice president chief operating officers and interim chief executive officer at Central Dupage Health and Hospital in Winfield, Ill.; president, chief executive officer and system vice president of CHRISTUS Medical Group in Dallas; president of Baylor MedCare in Houston and senior vice president and chief operating officer of Lovelace Health Systems in Albuquerque, N.M.He began his health care career in Michigan more than 25 years ago in administrative positions with Metropolitan Hospital and Health Centers, which later evolved into Metro Medical Group and Henry Ford Health System. He has a bachelor’s degree from Wayne State University and a master’s degree in health services administration from the University of Michigan.Brooks replaced Diane Radloff, who retired from St. John Providence in February. During the search for the new president, Frank Poma served as interim president to St. John and St. John River District Hospital.
