Former Grosse Pointe Woods resident Mary Anne Frohman, 58, of Ann Arbor, died Friday, June 3, 2005.

She was born April 25, 1947, in Columbus, Ind. She was the caregiver for David Woodcock in Ann Arbor. She was previously active in the International Workers of the World. She was a singer and guitarist in a band, Leslie Fish and the Dehorn Crew, which was well-known in folk circles.

Ms. Frohman graduated from Grosse Pointe High School in 1965, and attended the University of Michigan for one year. She was devoted to her Siamese cats, cooking, music and counter-culture causes.

She is survived by her parents, Charles and Evelyn Frohman of Grosse Pointe Woods; her sister, Elsa Frohman of Eastpointe; her two brothers, Tom Frohman of Troy and Charles (Nancy) Frohman of Iowa City, Iowa; her nephew, David Frohman of Iowa City; and her friends, David Woodcock, Joe Clauson, Maggie Woodcock, all of Ann Arbor, and Ardath Holmes of Troy.
