My children and I came to Grosse Pointe 15 years ago. I came here to get the best education that was possible for my children. The years proved to be worth every inconvenience caused by living so far from my family.
My daughter played viola and had the opportunity to play at Orchestra Hall and receive lessons from a Detroit Symphony member. My son received a scholarship to Northwestern University for rowing. And, I was wrapped in the arms of friends and beautiful water. All of this could not have happened without the support of the Grosse Pointe community.
I personally want to thank all the people I have known over the years, all my friends on the "Hill" and all the people who bought glass. I will miss all of your smiling faces as I head to Virginia to start a new chapter in my life, managing a glass-blowing school in Sperryville.
Thank you for all your support and love Grosse Pointe.
