It was a good weekend of golf for University Liggett boys' team.

The Knights, under head coach Dan Sullivan, finished in the top 10, taking ninth, in the Division 4 state finals tournament at Bedford Valley in Battle Creek.

White Pigeon won the state title with a 654, followed by Charlevoix with a 663, Lincoln Alcona with a 663, North Muskegon with a 665, Auburn Hills Oakland Christian with a 668, Traverse City St. Francis with a 671, Clarkston Everest Collegiate with a 673, Kalamazoo Hackett with a 673 and Liggett with a 684.

Six other squads, Mount Pleasant Sacred Heart, Pentwater, Fowler, New Lothrop, Gobles and EPBPL finished behind the Knights.

Stephen Campau earned All-State honors by finishing tied for eighth with White Pigeon's Andrew Mann after posting a two-day total of 158.

Campau shot an 82 on day one and followed with a 76 on the second day.

Thomas Peracchio (91-81) and Paul Sidhu (89-83) each shot a 172, while Luke Soyka (93-90) was next with a 183.

Jeff Shell (92-95) also competed and shot a 187.

All five of the Knights return next season for what could be a top 5 finish.
