The University Liggett boys' basketball team split its division games last week, beating Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest 64-47 and losing 78-43 to Southfield Christian.

Head coach Sidney Johnson led his Knights to a solid double-digit victory over the Crusaders as Andrew Lohman scored 19 points and grabbed eight rebounds, and Ian Clark added 16 points.

Three nights later, the Knights went up against the top-ranked team in Class D, Southfield Christian.

The two-time defending state champ took it right at the Knights and it wasn't close.

The youthful Knights were led by Clark's 18 points as the team is 2-3 in the Michigan Independent Athletic Conference and 3-4 overall.
