The Grosse Pointe South varsity Red Barons’ football team rolled to a 30-6 victory over the Warren Jets last week.

Running back Darrick Hollowell opened the game with two consecutive runs of 15 yards, thanks to the blocks of Miles Dearing, Max Cervantes, Tanner Belanger, Lawson Wohlfarth, Anthony Ramsey, Armani Williams and Presley Kaleta. Quarterback Davis Graham finished the drive with back-to-back passes of 14 and 20 yards to Brett Thalgott.

On the ensuing Baron drive, Graham hit Jhordan Rush for 25 yards. Rush swept the left end for 15 yards and one play later, Graham found Rush at the goal line for the score.

In the second half, Rush had a scoring run of 40 yards behind blocks by Lawrence Peavy, Grayson Kennedy, Evan Bolles, Parker McKowen, Truman McKay and Ed Kotula.

Graham connected with Shook, Brennan Zihlman, Jack Ratsek and Williams on a drive.

The defense was led by inside linebackers Cam Sparkman, Wally Kinni-Adebayo and Graham. The secondary play of Joey DiMambro, Davon Gaines, Ratsek and Max Stricker was superb.
