The Grosse Pointe South girls’ golf team improved to 4-0 at the halfway point of the Macomb Area Conference Red Division regular season, beating three foes last week.

The Blue Devils, under head coach Michael Rennell, opened the week with tri-match wins over Utica Eisenhower and Romeo. South shot a 166, while Eisenhower had a 200 and Romeo had a 223 at Greystone Golf Club.

Lily Pendy shot an even par 36 and Tenley Shield had a one-over par 37. Lucy Buzolits and Ally Dalman were next, shooting a 45 and 48, respectively.

Later last week, the Blue Devils defeated Port Huron Northern 153-176 as Shield shot a one-under-par 34 and Pendy was even-par 35 at their home course, Plumbrook.

Buzolits and Dalman also shot great scores, posting a 43 and 41, respectively, as the 153 was just three shots off the school record.

Grosse Pointe South has a one game lead on PHN in the Red Division.
