The University Liggett boys’ hockey team split its two games in last weekend’s Sault Ste. Marie Tournament.

The Knights opened with a 5-2 loss to the host school. It was a 3-2 game late in the third period before the Soo scored twice.

“We just couldn’t score,” head coach Robb McIntyre said. “It was like the Mona Shores game. We had our chances, but their goalie was very good and we didn’t take advantage of our opportunities.”

Freshman Harrison Wujek scored his first high school goal to lead the Knights.

In the consolation game, Liggett scored four first-period goals en route to a 6-3 victory over Port Huron Northern.
