The Grosse Pointe North boys’ swimming and diving team dropped a 104-77 decision to Macomb Dakota last week.

The Norsemen won five events.

Danny MacAskill won the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 2:01.50, while William McNelis was first in diving with 184.90 points.

In addition, Patrick Turnbull won the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 55.0.

According to head coach Mike O’Connor, Matthew Leone and Matt Stander won events, taking first in the 100-yard backstroke and 100-yard breaststroke, respectively.

O’Connor said season-best performances were achieved in the 50-yard freestyle by A.J. Owens, MacAskill and Stander; 100-yard backstroke by John Leone and Michael Lemanske; and 200-yard individual medley by John Hales.

Grosse Pointe North dropped to 0-3 in the Macomb Area Conference Red Division and 3-5 overall in dual meet.
