South grads excel on field

Grosse Pointe South graduate Chloe Jacob helped DePauw University's women's soccer team win the NCAC championship.

The team advanced to the NCAA Tournament and Jacob was named All-Conference.

DePauw finished the season 7-11-1 overall and 4-3-1 in the North Coast Athletic Conference.


It lost 2-0 to Emory in a NCAA Division 111 first-round playoff game.

Another South graduate, Erica Kay was Wooster College women's soccer team's Offensive Player of the Year and earned All-Conference.

They just won their conference, NCAC Champions and were able to play in the NCAA tournament. Chloe was named All-Conference.

Wooster finished its season 12-6-1 overall and 7-1 in the NCAC.

Its season ended with a 1-0 loss to Denison in the NCAC Tournament semifinals.

The squads played earlier in the season with Wooster winning 3-1.
