Due to a limited number of registrants, Fratellanza co-founders Jim and Paul Manganello, instead of cancelling completely, are offering Serious Play, their theater creation summer workshop, for one week and at a reduced fee.

Originally slated for two weeks, the workshop for high school-aged actors, dancers, singers, athletes and any others interested in exploring movement in its physical, theatrical and creative forms is now scheduled for July 22 to 26. It remains at Grosse Pointe South High School’s Multipurpose Room and runs each day from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

“We are confident that a smaller group of students will better profit from a more concentrated format,” Jim said in a letter posted on the South choir booster web site.

Cost for the week is $250, down from $475 for two weeks.
