Schreck took the state qualifying test and hopes to join the top 100 test scores in the state round, the Michigan Geography Bee, April 5, at Western Michigan University.

While Schreck was named overall winner, several others were recognized by grade level. They include: Paul Treder, sixth grade; Victor Negron, seventh grade; Kenton Briggs, eighth grade and overall runner up; Grace Guthrie, eighth grade and female champion; and Schreck.
