Grosse Pointe South High School turns 85 this year. In celebration, the Mothers' Club of Grosse Pointe South Preservation Committee is hosting a school tour for alumni and community to showcase the school's commitment to the community since opening its doors to 300 seventh- to twelfth-grade students Feb. 1, 1928.
The tour highlights the school's historic accents and offers a sneak peek into recent updates that include two new second-floor bathrooms.
It is scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Sep. 29, at South.
