Prospective candidates for three seats on the Grosse Pointe Public School System Board of Education are reminded the deadline for filing is 4 p.m. Tuesday, July 22.

Three seats will be on the November 2014 ballot.

In order to run, a candidate must provide an affidavit of residency and either file a nominating petition with a minimum of 40 signatures or post a $100 non-refundable filing fee.

Candidates for the school board seats must file to run with the Grosse Pointe Park city clerk Jane Blahut.

The three seats up for election are currently held by Joan Dindoffer, Tom Jakubiec and Brian Summerfield. As of press time, Summerfield has filed, along with former school board member Ahmed Ismail.
