THE GROSSE POINTES — Thousands of costumed Grosse Pointe children ages 12 and under are expected to crowd the Village sidewalks for the annual Halloween Parade, 3:30 to 4:45 p.m. today, Oct. 31.

The children’s Halloween parade is on Kercheval between Cadieux and Neff in the Village downtown district of the City of Grosse Pointe.

A costume competition takes place at 4 p.m. beneath the arch clock over Kercheval.

“Prizes will be awarded for the scariest, most original and best overall costumes,” said Christopher Hardenbrook, City of Grosse Pointe recreation director. “Prizes are donated thanks to El’s Boutique.”
