The VillageFest, sponsored by Beaumont Health System, Saturday, Sept. 7 and Sunday, Sept. 8, is free and open to the public.

It features a special focus for each member of the family, including art exhibitions, live music and entertainment, food, a car show and children’s activities.

The live entertainment takes place on the VillageFest Stage from noon to 5 p.m. both days. The stage is located on St Clair at Kercheval.

Saturday Sept. 7

noon to 12:45 p.m. — Grosse Pointe Theatre

1 to 1:45 p.m. — Stewart Francke

2 to 2:45 p.m. — The Yoga Shelter pesents a yoga class

3 to 3:45 p.m. — Efficiency Jazz Combo

4 to 5 p.m. — Terry “Thunder” and Thunda Express with Carolyn Crawford

7 to 10 p.m. — The Sun Messengers perform at the Saturday night dance party

Sunday Sept. 8

noon to 12:45 p.m. — The Sweet Adelines

1 to 1:45 p.m. — Crossroads

2 to 2:45 p.m. — Pointe Fitness presents Sunday Zumba

3 to 4 p.m. — Metro Jazz Voices

4:15 to 5:15 p.m. — The Jukes

VillageFest activities take place throughout The Village, covering the three block shopping district on Kercheval between Cadieux and Neff. Vehicular traffic is diverted off Kercheval Avenue.

Dirty Dog Jazz Café, McDonald’s, Ray Laethem, Wells Fargo, Aitken & Ormond Insurance, Becker Ventures, and Camp Bow Wow are sponsors

Other festival sponsors include Les Stanford, Renewal by Andersen, Pointe Fitness, Elder Living Construction and Michigan Humane Society.
