GROSSE POINTE FARMS — Remember not to vote next week.

There aren’t enough candidates to schedule a Grosse Pointe Farms primary municipal election, previously penciled on the city calender for Tuesday, Aug. 6.

Although two of three races are contested, the number of candidates filed at city hall isn’t enough to require trimming before the November election.

In the November election for city council, four candidates will compete for three openings.

Incumbents Louis Theros, Peter W. Waldmeir Jr. and Martin West are seeking to retain their seats.

Challenger Elizabeth Vogel is making a third run for council.

Incumbent Municipal Judge Matthew Rumora is challenged by attorney Matt Peck. Both live in the Farms.

The Farms judge also presides in Grosse Pointe Shores Municipal Court.

Incumbent Mayor James Farquhar is unopposed for another two-year term.
