GROSSE POINTE SHORES — Shredding of household documents is offered at reduced rates from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, in the parking lot of Osius Park.

For $5 per household, a company will shred on site up to five banker-sized boxes of household paper — no business documents — in a mobile shredder.

Shredding normally costs about $10 per box, according to Helen Bai, chair of the Grosse Pointe Shores beautification commission.

Shredding is the Shores way of participating in Keep America Beautiful's America Recycles Day, Thursday, Nov. 15.
