Grosse Pointe Men's Ecumenical breakfast meets from 7:30 to 8:15 a.m. Friday, June 6, at the Side Street Diner, 630 St. Clair, City of Grosse Pointe.

Men, of any faith, from any community can attend.

First English

First English Evangelical Lutheran Church's annual music Sunday begins at 10 a.m. June 8.

The public can attend the concert with music of American and English composers reflecting the Pentecost aspect of the day. The Good News Singers, Good News Ringers and a brass ensemble and oboe solo are featured. A free will offering will be taken.

Christ Church

Christ Church Grosse Pointe features the combined choirs with installation and valediction of choristers during the 4:30 p.m. Sunday, June 8, Evensong service.

Christ the King

Christ the King Lutheran Church holds Gangway to Galilee vacation Bible school from 9:30 a.m. to noon June 16 through 20.

Preschoolers through those in fifth grade can participate in learning Bible stories, make crafts, eat snacks, play games and sing. The cost is $25 per child or $40 for a family. Walk-in registration is welcome.

Congregational church

The Grosse Pointe Congregational Church presents a series of three concerts from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Sundays, June 22, July 20 and Aug. 17, in the church's concert hall.

The evening begins with a warm-up band, None Others, followed by the headline band, Lindsay Lou & the Flatbellys, June 22. Tickets are free to the first 280 guests. Concessions are available.
