New vendors at Tau Beta's 11th Spring Market, opening April 10

See some of the latest spring styles and trends at Tau Beta's 11th annual Spring Market April 10 through 12 at the Grosse Pointe Club, 6 Berkshire Place, Grosse Pointe Farms.  More than 20 specialty boutiques from across the country display their fashions ranging from jewelry, clothing and home accents, with all proceeds benefitting the Children's Center of Detroit.  

Get a first-hand glimpse of the specialty items at the preview party and raffle from 6:30 to 9 p.m. Thursday, April 10. Tickets to the preview party cost $65. Cocktails and hors d'oeuvres are served. A raffle drawing is held at the preview party. Items include an Ippolita sterling silver necklace, bracelet and earring set, donated by ahee Jewelers; a Detroit Tigers game in luxury suite and dinner at Red Crown Restaurant, donated by the Cotton family; a designer Neiman Marcus package; an original oil painting by Chris Wardwell; a MacKenzie-Childs parchment check ottoman donated by Patty and Atanis Illitch in cooperation with Little Foxes; and a spa package donated by Spa Renaissance. Raffle tickets are $25 each, or five for $100.

Spring market shopping days are 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, April 11, and 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 12. The Spring Market café is open during shopping hours.

Admission to market days is $5 at the door.

• Crème De La Crème of Winnetka, Ill. — Home accents and gifts for men, women and children.

• Sunglass Shoppe and Unique Optical of Petoskey — Sun and optical collections.

• Ellie Kai of Osterville, Mass. — Personalized women's clothing in easy care fabrics.

• Seesaw Society of Chicago — A selection of children's clothing.

• Grace Hayes Linens of Chicago — Bed linens, sleepwear, monograms and home accents.

Some returning and popular vendors include:

• Clara Williams Company of Chicago.

• Sarah Oliver Handbags of Sausalito, Calif.

• Bird Dog Bay of Chicago — Sophisticated and whimsical, men's neckwear and accessories.
